FAQs FAQs

Stickerbox connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with a standard password (WPA2/WPA3 Personal). It does not support enterprise Wi-Fi (802.1X) that requires a username and password — this is a hardware limitation.

Easiest option: Connect Stickerbox to your phone's personal hotspot.

If you'd like to use your school's network, share these requirements with your IT department:

  • A 2.4GHz WPA2/WPA3 Personal (PSK) network — a guest, IoT, or MAC-filtered network works great.
  • Outbound HTTPS access (port 443) to api.stickerbox.com and ws.stickerbox.com.

Note: your phone/computer does not need to be on the same network as the Stickerbox — they communicate through our servers independently.

If you run into issues during setup, feel free to contact us and we can work with your IT team directly.

Once the box is set up and you see the "ask" screen, hold the button down to speak and tell Stickerbox what you want to make. Then release the button.

Push up on the door from underneath and drop in the paper roll with the printable side facing forward. Snap door closed with a bit of paper peeking out the top. You can also watch this video.

Make sure your WiFi is set up for 2.4GHz. Most routers will broadcast 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Try moving closer to your Wi-Fi router. Sometimes a weak signal can interfere with the setup process. If the problem persists, try resetting your Stickerbox device to factory settings: Hold the white button down, unplug and plug the device in while holding the button down, and when the factory reset is complete the screen will start back up. If none of the above helps, email help@stickerbox.com.

Yes. Stickerbox understands multiple languages. Speak clearly in whichever one you prefer.

The Stickerbox parent companion app helps you set up your box, view and share your creations, and manage your device.

Most likely the paper is loaded backwards or it is not straight in the printer. Verify: paper is official Stickerbox paper, door is fully closed, power adapter is firmly connected. If it is still not printing, unplug the adapter for 10 seconds, plug back in, then try again.

Reload the paper roll or try a new one. Snap out the rubber roller at the top of the door and wipe it clean with a cloth. Then replace it. Keep paper out of heat and direct sunlight during storage.

Open the back door and reload the paper roll. See this video for a demonstration. Sometimes jams happen when the roll is nearly finished. If that's the case, just pop in a new roll.

You can order official Stickerbox refills at stickerbox.com/products/sticker-refills.

No. Only Stickerbox paper is supported. Other paper will damage the printer and void your warranty. Stickerbox paper rolls are BPA and BPS free.

Stickerbox was built from the ground up with kids' safety at the center with three key features: Built-in filters that block inappropriate content before it appears, No "always-on" listening (only listens when kids press the button), and Designed with parents in mind with app review capabilities and offline creative play.

No. Stickerbox only listens when the top button is pressed.

No. Stickerbox does not store voice data for extended periods of time and does not share any personal information.

Unopened packages can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. If your device arrives damaged or defective, email help@stickerbox.com with your order number.

Yes! All Stickerbox paper rolls are BPA and BPS-free. Safe for kids, safe for the planet, and perfect for coloring, tearing, and sticking everywhere.

Yes. Multiple kids (or grown-ups!) can take turns using the same device. Each creation is printed instantly, so no logins or profiles are needed.

Printing is black and white by design so kids can color their stickers.

You will need Wi-Fi or a hotspot connection to connect and generate new stickers. Once your Stickerbox is connected, you can move it around your home as long as it stays in range.

No. Use the included power adapter only.

Yes! You can easily reprint any sticker you've previously created using the StickerBox Companion App. Simply open the app, navigate to your Stickers Gallery, find the sticker you want to reprint, and tap the printer button.

Stickerbox paper is designed to tear cleanly. After your sticker finishes printing, grasp the top left corner of the paper and quickly pull forward and down towards you. The paper will tear along the serrated plastic edge. Pulling quickly and at a slight angle helps get the cleanest cut.
