Emotion Exploration

15 minutes
Print stickers showing different emotions: excited, sad, surprised, frustrated, proud, nervous. Kids identify how they're feeling, pick the matching sticker, and talk about it. Visual emotion identification helps young kids name what they're experiencing. Or flip it: Let kids prompt how they feel ("I feel like a volcano about to explode"), then print that emotion as a character they can talk about, color, and keep.
Try prompts like:
"A happy smiling face with big eyes"
"A sad face with tears"
"An excited face with sparkles"
"An angry red face with steam"
"A surprised face with raised eyebrows"
"A nervous face looking worried"
"A proud face with a confident smile"
"A frustrated face with furrowed eyebrows"
