Stickerbox is a voice-activated thermal sticker printer designed specifically for kids ages 5 and up. Children speak their ideas out loud (like "a penguin in a race car") and Stickerbox uses AI to generate and instantly print a custom black-and-white sticker using thermal technology. No screens, no ink, no mess.

Once the box is set up and you see the “ask” screen, hold the button down to speak and tell Stickerbox what you want to make. Then release the button.

Push up on the door from underneath and drop in the paper roll with the printable side facing forward. Snap door closed with a bit of paper peeking out the top. You can also watch this video.

Make sure your WiFi is set up for 2.4GHz. Most routers will broadcast 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Try moving closer to your Wi-Fi router. Sometimes a weak signal can interfere with the setup process.

If the problem persists, try resetting your Stickerbox device to factory settings (video guide available here):

  • Hold the white button down.
  • Unplug and plug the device in while holding the button down.
  • When the factory reset is complete the screen will start back up.

If none of the above helps, email us at help@stickerbox.com. We will get you set up asap!

Yes. Stickerbox understands multiple languages. Speak clearly in whichever one you prefer.

The Stickerbox parent companion app helps you set up your box, view and share your creations, and manage your device.

Fast. Most stickers are ready in under 5 seconds from the moment your child finishes speaking. There's no warming up, no waiting to dry, and no smudging. Just an instant sticker ready to color and keep.

  • Most likely the paper is loaded backwards or it is not straight in the printer.
  • Paper is official Stickerbox paper.
  • Door is fully closed.
  • Power adapter is firmly connected.
  • If it is still not printing, unplug the adapter for 10 seconds, plug back in, then try again.
  • Reload the paper roll or try a new one.
  • Snap out the rubber roller at the top of the door and wipe it clean with a cloth. Then replace it.
  • Keep paper out of heat and direct sunlight during storage.

Open the back door and reload the paper roll. See this video for a demonstration. Sometimes jams happen when the roll is nearly finished. If that’s the case, just pop in a new roll.

Stickerbox paper is designed to tear cleanly.
After your sticker finishes printing, grasp the top left corner of the paper and quickly pull forward and down towards you. The paper will tear along the serrated plastic edge. Pulling quickly and at a slight angle helps get the cleanest cut. You may need to hold the Stickerbox still with your other hand. The serrated edge does the work, so kids don’t need scissors!

Nope! No ink, no toner, no cartridges. Stickerbox uses thermal printing technology, which means a small heated element reacts with specially coated paper to create crisp black-and-white artwork. It's completely mess-free, and the only thing you'll ever need to replace is the paper roll.

Thermal printing is a technology that uses gentle heat, not ink, to print images onto specially coated paper. It's the same method used in receipt printers and label makers, and it's been trusted for decades. With Stickerbox, there's no ink exposure, no chemicals, and no hot surfaces kids can touch. Our paper is BPA and BPS-free, making it safe for little hands to hold, color, and stick anywhere.

No. Because Stickerbox uses thermal printing, there are no ink cartridges or toner to replace, ever. The only consumable is the paper roll, which comes with 60 stickers per roll. Refill 3-packs (~180 stickers) are available on our website and ship free.

That's by design! Thermal printers create crisp black-and-white images, and we love it that way. Black-and-white stickers are made to be colored in, which turns every print into a two-part creative experience: first your child imagines and speaks their idea, then they bring it to life with color. It keeps the creativity hands-on and screen-free from start to finish.

Thermal prints can fade if stored in heat, direct sunlight, or near chemicals for extended periods. This is true of all thermal paper products. To keep stickers looking their best, store unused rolls in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Once colored in, the colored pencil layer helps protect the print.

Printing is black and white by design so kids can color their stickers.

Yes! All Stickerbox paper rolls are BPA and BPS-free. Safe for kids, safe for the planet, and perfect for coloring, tearing, and sticking everywhere.

You can order official Stickerbox refills at our paper refill collection.

No. Only Stickerbox paper is supported. Other paper will damage the printer and void your warranty. Stickerbox paper rolls are BPA and BPS free.

Stickerbox was built from the ground up with kids’ safety at the center. That means every part of the experience, from what kids can say, to what gets printed, is filtered, protected, and age-appropriate. Here’s how we keep Stickerbox safe and parent-approved:

  • Built-in filters: Our model includes strict safety filters that block inappropriate content before it ever appears, ensuring that every creation stays fun, imaginative, and age-appropriate.
  • No “always-on” listening: Stickerbox only listens when kids press the button. It never runs in the background and it doesn't store voice data.
  • Designed with parents in mind: We built Stickerbox to be a trusted creative tool that gives kids real creative independence. It’s not a passive screen, not a scrolling feed, and not a place where kids can wander into unknown content. You always know exactly what your child is interacting with and you can review their creations anytime through the Stickerbox companion app.

No. Stickerbox only listens when the top button is pressed.

No. Stickerbox does not store voice data for extended periods of time and does not share any personal information.

Great question, and one worth asking. As AI voice-activated sticker printers have started appearing online, it can be hard to tell them apart. What makes Stickerbox different is that it was built for kids from the ground up, not adapted from adult tech. Here's how:

  • Kid-safe AI with multiple layers of protection
Stickerbox doesn't just filter bad words. It runs every prompt through multiple content safety layers before anything is generated or printed. If an idea isn't age-appropriate, kids are encouraged to try something new.
  • COPPA Compliant + KidSAFE Certified
Stickerbox is certified by kidSAFE, an independent safety certification program, and is fully COPPA compliant. This isn't self-reported. It means our data practices, privacy policies, and content safeguards have been reviewed and approved by a third-party auditor. Most competing products carry no equivalent certification.
  • No always-on listening
Stickerbox only listens when your child physically holds down the button. The moment they release it, listening stops. There is no wake word, no background audio processing, and no ambient recording. Voice data is processed and immediately discarded, never stored long-term or used for training.
  • BPA/BPS-free thermal paper, because little hands matter
We take our paper seriously. Stickerbox stickers print on thermal paper that is certified BPA and BPS-free, meaning no harmful chemicals transfer to the hands that peel, hold, and color every sticker. Many competing products list "BPA-free" only or have no disclosure at all.

Stickerbox is designed for kids ages 5 and up, but it's genuinely fun for the whole family. Younger children (ages 2–4) enjoy it with a little help from a parent or older sibling. Older kids and adults love it for journaling, decoration, and getting competitive with creative prompts. If you can imagine it, Stickerbox can print it.

Yes, and that's exactly what it was built for. Once your child speaks their idea and the sticker prints, everything that follows is completely hands-on: coloring, cutting, decorating, storytelling, and sticking. It's creative play from start to finish, and a great alternative to tablets and TV for kids who need something to do with their hands.

It's one of the most unique creative gifts for kids right now, and one of the few gifts that keeps going. Unlike toys that lose their appeal after a few days, Stickerbox grows with your child's imagination. Every day brings new ideas, new stickers, and new ways to play. It's been called a "screen-free creative companion" by parents.

Yes. Multiple kids (or grown-ups!) can take turns using the same device. Each creation is printed instantly, so no logins or profiles are needed.
